This track focuses on how technological tools can generate practical solutions to social and environmental problems. From artificial intelligence to biotechnology, its goal is for innovation to contribute to building more dynamic, adaptable, and sustainable societies.

Selection Criteria

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The selected workshops will take place at FLII from February 24 to 26 in Mérida, Mexico. Workshop leaders must confirm their in-person participation.

Before applying, please review the requirements and conditions of the call, and ensure that the individuals leading the workshop are able to travel.

1. WORKSHOP TOPIC: The proposal must be related to one of the three tracks of FLII 2026.
2. DURATION: The workshop must last a maximum of 45 minutes.
3. WORKSHOP LEADERS*: A maximum of two workshop leaders may lead the workshop (no exceptions).
*You must have direct contact and confirmation of participation from the workshop leader(s) for your proposal to be considered. (If the workshop leader(s) cancel(s), the workshop will be canceled).
4. FORMAT: The proposed session must be an interactive session, workshop, or activity (presentations, discussions, panels, or talks are not accepted).
*The selected workshops will take place at FLII from February 24 to 26 in Mérida, Mexico. Workshop leaders must confirm their in-person participation.
5. WORKSHOP INFORMATION: When uploading your proposal, please follow the instructions carefully. It is important to clearly describe the objective, description, audience, and relevance of the workshop in order for it to be considered.
Once your workshop proposal has been submitted, you will not be able to change the workshop leaders, format, and/or content.
6. CALL FOR PROPOSALS: You may submit your proposal until Friday, October 31, 2025, the day we close the call for proposals (no exceptions)
7. NUMBER OF PROPOSALS SUBMITTED: Each person/organization may submit a maximum of one workshop proposal.

If your workshop receives the most votes, it will be chosen to be part of the FLII 2026 agenda.

Terms & Conditions

FOR THE WINNING WORKSHOPS
  1. COURTESIES:
    One entry to FLII 2026 will be granted solely for the workshop leader(s).
    (FLII does not cover flight, accommodation, transportation, or meal expenses.)

    *If the workshop leader already has a ticket in their name for FLII as a sponsor, speaker in another session, or has received a courtesy for any other activity, no additional courtesy will be granted to that person, nor can it be assigned or transferred to another. The courtesies provided by FLII for the Agenda Creator are reserved exclusively for individuals who do not have a ticket to the event.

  2. CONFIRMATION:
    If your proposal receives the highest number of votes, you will have until November 30 to confirm your participation. If you are unable to do so, the proposal will be omitted, and the next one will be selected.
  3.  CONTENT:
    Your workshop proposal cannot be modified (in content, format, description, and workshop leader(s)).
  4. MATERIALS:
    Any type of teaching material: prints, handouts, markers, stickers, paper, etc. must be provided by the workshop leader.
  5. FINAL DETAILS:
    In order to finalize the preparation of the workshop, each winning person/organization will receive an email and a form to provide further information. If the required information is not submitted within the specified timeframe, the proposal will be canceled.
